Twelve people were injured and nine hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision involving a Metro bus in Los Angeles March 28, local news outlet KTLA reported.

The crash occurred on the 3500 block of West 39th Street near Crenshaw Boulevard around 3:40 p.m., Los Angeles Fire Department’s spokesman Nicholas Prange said.

According to authorities, the crash involved a Metro bus with passengers and three other vehicles, in which one driver is suspected of driving under the influence.

Nine people, including the bus driver, were taken to hospitals, with three in moderate condition and six in fair condition, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
