LA Man Arrested on Suspicion of Human Trafficking in Irvine

A Los Angeles man was recently arrested at an Irvine hotel for alleged sex trafficking and pimping, authorities said.
He was identified as Winston Jones, 33, according to the Irvine Police Department.
Undercover agents from the police department’s Special Investigations Unit and the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force were deployed to a hotel in Irvine April 17 following reports suggesting that a woman might be a victim of sex trafficking, Irvine Police Department spokesman Kyle Oldoerp told The Epoch Times.
Upon the arrival of Mr. Jones and the female victim at the hotel, officers detained the woman, ensuring her safe removal from the situation, Mr. Oldoerp said. The suspect was  taken into custody at the scene.
Authorities did not provide additional information regarding Mr. Jones’s status nor his arraignment date.
