LOS ANGELES—Seven people suspected of being behind a recent series of robberies at 7-Eleven stores throughout Los Angeles County have been arrested, authorities said Jan. 19.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the robberies occurred over a three-day period in Lakewood, Signal Hill, Long Beach, Compton, Carson, and Los Angeles.

A deputy walked in on a robbery in progress Saturday at a 7-Eleven in Carson and detained four suspects, according to a sheriff’s department statement.

On the same day, investigators served a search warrant in Los Angeles and detained two additional male juveniles allegedly involved in the series of robberies, sheriff officials said.

A female juvenile turned herself in to investigators Sunday at the Lakewood Sheriff Station, according to the department.

The suspects are all facing robbery charges, with some facing additional counts of a minor in possession of a firearm.

The investigation is ongoing to determine if the suspects are connected to other robberies in Los Angeles or surrounding areas, the sheriff’s department said.
