President Donald Trump visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, on Tuesday for his scheduled six-month physical examination.

“Everything checked out PERFECTLY,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. “Thank you to the great Doctors and Staff!”

The president arrived at the medical facility at approximately 9 a.m. and left the hospital about 3 1/2 hours later.

Standard presidential checkups at Walter Reed include comprehensive laboratory studies looking at blood counts, cholesterol levels, and metabolic panels, among other tests.

Heart screenings include stress and electrocardiogram reviews to assess cardiovascular health.

The prestigious medical hospital is known for offering specialized techniques and technologies to provide health care for service members and leaders in government.

White House officials described the visit as routine medical and dental checkups, the third occurrence in the president’s second term.

He was previously examined last year, in April and October. Both reports found the president in “excellent” and “exceptional” health.

Captain Dr. Sean Barbabella oversaw both physicals last year, with Trump measuring six feet, three inches tall and weighing 224 pounds.

The doctor attributed Trump’s weight loss, down from the 239 to 244 pounds he had weighed in at during his first term, to his love for the game of golf and his busy schedule.

“His active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his well-being,” Barbarella wrote in April 2025.

“President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”

He also said that heart scans determined the president’s cardiac age was approximately 14 years younger than his biological age.

The doctor noted scarring on the president’s right ear from the bullet that grazed him during the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, in 2024.

Trump, who turns 80 on June 14, was the oldest president ever inaugurated at 78 in January 2025.

He has repeatedly emphasized his physical and mental fitness, telling crowds at rallies this year that he received a perfect score on the aptitude test.

It is unclear whether the most recent exam included a similar quiz.

A summary report is expected in the coming days with diagnostic and lab results.
