Dr. Jeffrey Long was a skeptic, but then 5,000 near-death experiences changed his mind.

Long is a radiation oncologist and founder of the world’s largest NDE database. He has dedicated 25 years to gathering accounts from people who were near-death or clinically dead—and then returned, describing things they could not possibly have seen.

In this interview, we discuss cases he describes as medically impossible, such as a woman blind from birth who saw for the first time when her heart had stopped, a rider thrown from her horse who accurately recounted events a mile away, and children too young to understand death reporting the same experiences as adults.

He also clarifies why skeptical explanations fail and shares what he tells his own cancer patients about what happens after death.
