Man, 29, Arrested in Triple Stabbing in Southern California

SANTA MONICA, Calif.—A 29-year-old man suspected of stabbing three people in Santa Monica was in custody May 20.

Larry Ameyal Cedeno was arrested Sunday for allegedly assaulting three victims during an unprovoked attack with a deadly weapon, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.

The stabbing occurred in the 1500 block of Fourth Street near Parking Structure 7 around 8 p.m. Sunday. Officers administered CPR to one of the victims as the suspect was being sought.

“Two victims suffered stab wounds. One remains in critical but stable condition; the third was assaulted with no major injuries,” police said in a statement.

Detectives located Mr. Cedeno a short time later and booked him at the Santa Monica Jail, where he awaits arraignment.

According to police, Mr. Cedeno was on probation for larceny.
