Homicide detectives in Santa Ana, California, are investigating their first homicide of the year.

Police said a man, whose name and age have not been released, was found dead about 6:45 p.m. Jan. 2. The victim was discovered in the living room of a home in the 1800 block of W. 18th Street, and suffered significant injuries to his upper torso.
