Irvine police are investigating a fatal crash March 10 that killed one person.

The accident happened about 6:40 a.m., when a southbound vehicle veered off Culver Drive, near Warner Avenue and Barranca, and struck a tree.

Police said the vehicle caught fire. Its lone occupant, whose name has not been released, was killed.
