A woman suspected of smashing a dozen car windows with bricks in Los Angeles and Santa Monica faces 11 felony charges, prosecutors said April 8.
The acts of vandalism occurred between Feb. 12 and March 29, according to an April 8 press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Lisa Jones, 30, is charged with 11 felony counts and one misdemeanor count of vandalism of $400 or more in damage or destruction of property, the press release stated.
In the press release, District Attorney George Gascón condemned Ms. Jones’s behavior.
“The reckless and destructive behavior exhibited by Ms. Jones demonstrates a flagrant disregard for the law and a lack of respect for other peoples’ property,” he said.
Several security cameras captured Ms. Jones throwing bricks at a Porsche SUV, a Tesla, and a pickup in separate incidents, KLTA5 reported.
However, Ms. Jones pleaded not guilty during her arraignment on April 5 in the Airport Courthouse; her preliminary hearing is set for April 19.
She is currently being held on $120,000 bail.
If convicted, Ms. Jones will face a maximum sentence of nine years and eight months in prison, according to prosecutors.
The case is still being investigated by the Los Angeles and Santa Monica police departments.
