HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.—A woman found dead inside a home by police officers was determined to be the victim of a homicide, authorities said Saturday.

Officers were dispatched at about 2:30 p.m. Friday to a residence in the 1100 block of England Street regarding a report of a possible suspicious death, the Huntington Beach Police Department reported. They made entry and discovered the woman’s body,

“Evidence at the residence indicated that the death was a homicide but an isolated incident,” police said in a statement Saturday. “Although the suspect is still outstanding, detectives believe there is no ongoing threat to the public or community.”

The investigation was ongoing, and no further information was immediately available.
