Man Stabbed 5 Times in the Back in San Diego; Attackers Flee

A 53-year-old man was stabbed five times in the back in the Mountain View neighborhood of San Diego on Feb. 22, but he refused to give police information on the attackers, City News Service (CNS) reported.
The incident occurred at about 1:05 a.m. on the 1000 block of South 45th Street, according to Officer David O’Brien of the San Diego Police Department.
A witness saw three men running south through a park but was unable to give police descriptions, CNS reported. Officers recovered an unloaded handgun at the scene.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, but his injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to CNS.
Mountain View is about four miles east of downtown San Diego.
