Two people were killed in a head-on crash March 9 in Silverado Canyon, in eastern Orange County, California, involving a suspected drunk driver, according to authorities.
The incident occurred when one vehicle crashed into another around 9 p.m. on Santiago Canyon Road, the California Highway Patrol said.
One driver, a 34-year-old man from La Habra, who was driving a 2018 Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, a man from Santa Ana driving a 1993 Toyota, was rushed to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he later died of his injuries.
There were no other passengers involved.
The California Highway Patrol said it believes alcohol played a role in the fatal incident.
