An 18-year-old male was killed March 7 after being fatally struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle in Huntington Beach, California.
David Mario Garcia Olmos, of Huntington Beach, was struck by a 2016 Kia Sorento around 6:15 a.m.
He was rushed to an area hospital, where he died of his injuries, according to police.
Mr. Olmos was riding westbound on Talbert Avenue just west of Bell Circle when he was struck by the vehicle, which was also going westbound on Talbert, according to police.
The 26-year-old driver of the Kia, a man from Fullerton, stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers. He was not suspected of driving under the influence, authorities said.
It is unclear if Mr. Olmos was wearing protective gear at the time of the accident.
