WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump announced on Dec. 16 that he will address the nation from the White House.

His remarks are scheduled for 9 p.m. EST on Dec. 17 and will broadcast live on the White House’s social media channels, among other locations.

“I look forward to ’seeing' you then,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. “It has been a great year for our Country, and THE BEST IS YET TO COME!”

It is unclear what the president will speak about, but recent public appearances, including a stop in the Poconos Mountains in Pennsylvania last week, have included remarks about the economy, border security, and foreign policy accomplishments, among other topics.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
