A San Antonio man was charged with threatening to bomb a Turning Point USA event, which featured CEO Erika Kirk as a speaker.
Jacob Wenske was arrested on May 27 and charged with two felony counts of making terrorist threats causing fear or imminent serious bodily injury after allegedly threatening to bomb the Turning Point USA Women’s Leadership Summit in June.
The investigation into Wenske started after the 26-year-old allegedly wrote a comment on or around April 12 with the caption “I know where to bomb” under a Facebook post by the San Antonio Express-News, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
The local news outlet was previewing the event scheduled to happen at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter between June 5 and 7.
Wenske then allegedly typed, “I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort” in the same thread.
Investigators noted that the valet comment was relevant to the case because Wenske previously worked for a parking management company that provided valet services at hotels and during special events.
During the investigation, law enforcement discovered an email Wenske allegedly wrote in January 2026, which threatened bombings at “every single Turning Point rally and event” and threatened to kill Kirk and speakers associated with the organization.
Wenske also shared a series of videos on his personal Facebook page that featured sketches about Erika Kirk and anti-Trump commentary.
The Epoch Times contacted Turning Point USA for comment.
In a statement posted to social media, the group said it was grateful to the police department and the FBI.
“The safety of our attendees, speakers, and staff is always our top priority,” it stated on May 28. “All TPUSA events include enhanced, multi-layered security measures that are enforced by both private security and local police. We refuse to let threats silence us.”

Turning Point USA is a conservative political nonprofit founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk, who was publicly assassinated during a Q&A segment with an audience member on Sept. 10 during an event at Utah Valley University.
His widow, Erika Kirk, took over the organization as the CEO days after his death, but has since faced threats of political violence.
In April, she backed out of a Turning Point USA event with Vice President JD Vance in Georgia due to unspecified threats she allegedly received. Despite Erica Kirk skipping the event, the Secret Service allowed Vance to attend and speak safely.
The CEO was coincidentally at the high-profile White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington on April 26 when a gunman attempted to storm the ballroom on April 25.
