A preliminary 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Ontario, California, on Sunday night, U.S. officials said.
The quake was felt across the region, according to ABC7.
It hit around 5:35 p.m. local time. It was centered around 5.6 miles from Upland, California, just south of Ontario international airport, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter of the quake was relatively shallow at 2.85 miles depth, the USGS said.
“No shaking just sounded like a boulder hit the ground in Rancho Cucamonga,” local Frank Gonzalez said on Twitter.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
