As the world prepares to add one additional day to the February calendar Feb. 29, which occurs every four years, and is known as Leap Day, several well-known restaurant chains and others will be offering deals for Southern California residents:

Wendy’s

Customers can receive a free Cinnabon Pull-Apart between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at all locations. No purchase required. Drive-thru or in-store only.

Krispy Kreme

The signature doughnut house has this offer: for every regularly priced dozen donuts purchased, customers can get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for just $2.29.
Those with a Feb. 29 birthday will receive a free dozen of Original Glazed doughnuts with no purchase needed.
“An extra day in the year is an irresistible opportunity for Krispy Kreme to be extra-sweet to our guests,” Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a press release.

Chipotle

Chipotle Rewards members will receive a complimentary scoop of guacamole by using the code EXTRA24 when placing digital orders via the Chipotle app or at Chipotle.com.

The deal also includes 50 cents off for car washes for the whole day.

Say ‘I Do’

Wanting to tie the knot on the special day? The Orange County Clerk-Recorder offices in Anaheim, Laguna Hills, and Santa Ana have announced extended hours of operation on Thursday offering walk-in wedding ceremonies for couples.
Assistance for marriage licenses and civil ceremonies will be provided from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., according to officials.
Prior to visiting the Clerk-Recorder offices, couples are required to complete an online application.
“Leap Day is the perfect backdrop for couples to let their love take flight into an exciting chapter,” Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen said in a January statement. “My department looks forward to making couples’ dreams of a joyous, seamless, and romantic wedding day come true.”
