Officials Seize Millions in Cannabis, Firearms in Los Angeles County

LOS ANGELES—Recent enforcement operations have resulted in the seizure of millions of dollars worth of illegal cannabis and multiple illegal firearms in Los Angeles County, officials said June 27.
More than $15 million in illegal cannabis was seized, including over 9,000 pounds of illegal cannabis flower destroyed, according to the Department of Cannabis Control.
The department licenses and regulates the following cannabis products and procedures throughout the state:
  • Growing of cannabis plants;
  • Manufacture of cannabis products;
  • Transportation and tracking of cannabis goods;
  • Sale of cannabis goods;
  • Events where cannabis is sold or used;
  • Labeling of goods sold at retail.
