FULLERTON, Calif.—A big rig crashed and caught fire March 25, blocking all southbound lanes of the Orange (57) Freeway in the Fullerton area.

The crash was reported shortly after 8 a.m. near Imperial Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol. No injuries were immediately reported.

According to the CHP and reports from the scene, the truck was northbound on the freeway when it crashed through the center divider and ended up on the southbound side of the freeway.

At least one other vehicle was damaged, possibly from flying debris, the CHP reported. The closure was continuing more than an hour afterward as crews worked to clear the scene.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
