Southern California’s popular burger chain In-N-Out will build one of its largest locations in Las Vegas by 2026, the company announced on Instagram on Dec. 5.

The 8,000-square-foot restaurant will be located at The BLVD, a three-story shopping center on the Strip, and offer indoor and outdoor seating, according to the company’s announcement.

The dining area will be larger than the company’s typical restaurant, and special In-N-Out signage will feature retro looks from throughout the years, In-N-Out posted Thursday.

“We’re also excited that a unique Company Store showcasing some popular In-N-Out items will open alongside the restaurant!” the company posted.

Planning is still in its early stages, but the company hopes to open in 2026. The restaurant will be about a mile from the Tropicana resort and have a view of the casino-lined Las Vegas Boulevard.

The upscale shopping mall announced last month that Abercrombie & Fitch planned to open a store. Popular workout wear outlet Lululemon also opened a 9,800-square-foot store at The BLVD in early November.

The company currently operates 14 locations in Las Vegas.

The Irvine-based family business opened its first location in 1948 in Baldwin Park, California, about 20 miles east of Los Angeles.

Harry and Esther Snyder launched the business as California’s first drive-through restaurant with a small 10-foot by 10-foot space using a two-way speaker box.

The family promised customers the “freshest, highest-quality foods” with friendly service in a sparkling-clean environment, according to the company’s history page.

Their granddaughter, Lynsi Snyder, now owns the company and serves as president. The chain remains privately owned and has no plans to pursue franchises, according to its website.

In-N-Out now operates about 400 locations and employs over 39,000 people, while serving its classic menu of burgers, fries, and fountain drinks.

The new restaurant will be across from Whataburger, a Texas-based hamburger company that prides itself on serving fresh beef made to order.

The two companies are often in competition, along with Blake’s Lotaburger, a New Mexico original serving green chile cheeseburgers.

Travelivery, a business directory for entertainment and travel news, congratulated the burger company for announcing its new location.

“Congrats to In-N-Out Burger for drawing a line in the sand and deciding to open another Las Vegas Strip location at the soon-to-open BLVD Las Vegas, right across from Whataburger,” Travelivery wrote on Facebook on Oct. 8. “That’s the kind of competition I like to see from my favorite burger joint.”
