San Diego Police Investigate Potential Homicide After Body Found in Hillcrest Home

SAN DIEGO—Police officers found what they describe as a 60-year-old man dead inside a Hillcrest residence after receiving a 911 call on Wednesday evening, Oct. 27, launching a homicide investigation from city detectives.

“The male had visible trauma to his body,” Lt. Jud Campbell said in a statement.

San Diego Fire and Rescue pronounced the man deceased upon arriving at the residence on a dead-end road near 3700 Eighth Avenue, just south of Robinson Avenue.

Police are withholding the identity of the man pending notification of the family.

Detectives are currently looking for evidence and interviewing any possible witnesses.
