New Fed Working Paper Says Migrants May Have Contributed to Home Rent Spike

Rents across the United States have spiked upwards of 20 percent over the last several years, and it turns out a good chunk of this may have been caused by mass migration. A new working paper from the Federal Reserve reports that large-scale illegal immigration was a possible driver to the costs of homes and rent increasing nationwide.
