A 24-year-old man jumped to his death from the Pixar Pals parking structure Nov. 15, marking the third such death at the Disneyland garage complex in Southern California in less than a year, authorities said.
Anaheim police officers Wednesday responded to a call around 9:30 p.m. at the 1100 block of W. Magic Way regarding reports of a man who jumped from the parking structure, according to Anaheim Police spokesperson Sgt. Jon McClintock.
The man was identified as Jonah Alexander Edwards, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Nov. 17 to The Epoch Times.
He was pronounced dead upon the officers’ arrival, and the incident is being investigated as a suicide, Mr. McClintock said.
Disneyland representatives did not respond to a request for comment on deadline.
The man’s death is the third probable suicide at the theme park in less than a year. The other two incidents occurred at the Mickey & Friends parking structure.
In February, a 46-year-old Arizona woman, Marney Schoenfeld, was injured after she jumped or fell from the structure, according to Anaheim police. She was taken to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead, police said.
In December, a long-time Huntington Beach elementary school principal, Christopher Christensen, leaped to his death at the same location—less than a week before he was due in court for child endangerment and battery charges.
