In celebration of Earth Day April 22, the Port of Los Angeles unveiled a new website focused on the harbor’s diverse habitats and wildlife.

The LA Harbor Habitats site highlights marine life and habitats found near the port and includes underwater videos, interactive games, and photos of sea life.

The site also shares findings from the port’s biological surveys done over the past two decades.

“Balancing the needs of international trade with the protection of the natural resources of Los Angeles Harbor is an ongoing focus at the Port,” Chris Cannon, chief sustainability officer for the port, said in a statement.

The website also has kid-friendly information, including a page that asks for readers to name the species pictured, and a games page.
