In today’s episode, we sit down with Craig Sawyer—former Navy SEAL and founder of Veterans for Child Rescue—for a deep conversation about his fight to expose and stop child trafficking in the United States.

Sawyer shares how his time in elite counter-terrorism prepared him for a mission far more personal: rescuing children from covert trafficking networks operating in plain sight.

“It’s not just an overseas issue,” he says. “It’s something we need to address here at home.”

He recounts the making of Contraland, a documentary made in Arizona, capturing real-life sting operations that led to dozens of arrests and a 100 percent conviction rate.

“These aren’t reenactments—every person we show has been convicted in a court of law.”

Sawyer also reflects on how his personal experiences have shaped his commitment to this work and why collaboration across communities is essential to make an impact.

Join us for a thoughtful and informative conversation about service, advocacy, and the challenges of protecting vulnerable populations.
