After a primary season that saw democratic socialists notch wins from Michigan to Florida, NTD’s Steve Lance sat down with author James Lindsay to break down what’s actually happening inside the Democratic Socialists of America’s (DSA’s) playbook.

Lindsay walks through what he calls the party’s “commie corridor” strategy: concentrating money and organizing power in a handful of deep-blue districts, winning primaries there, and using those wins to pull the broader Democratic Party leftward. He traces how the movement’s messaging has shifted over the past decade as “woke” politics lost favor with voters and weighs in on what New York City’s early experiment under Mayor Zohran Mamdani might preview for the rest of the country.
