Authorities are searching for what they believe is a crew of thieves who targeted three restaurants in Moorpark early June 17.

Thieves first broke into Country Harvest, a popular breakfast spot near West Los Angeles Avenue and Park Lane. The incident was captured on video by the store’s security cameras around 2:13 a.m., authorities with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said.

Moorpark Detective Juan Ponce told The Epoch Times the thieves made off with cash before taking off and burglarizing two more restaurants.

At around 2:30 a.m. the alarm system at Sushi Planet sounded, which first alerted authorities of the crimes. Next door, the Vietnamese style Pho 100 was also broken into. The two restaurants are just one mile east of Country Harvest. It was unclear which of the two neighboring eateries was hit first as police arrived 10 minutes after the alarm and the perpetrators had fled, according to Mr. Ponce.

Representatives of the restaurants did not respond to a request for comment.

Other businesses were similarly burglarized the same night in Thousand Oaks. Mr. Ponce said those incidents are being investigated for possible connections.
