Congratulations are in order for Kanye West—“The Life of Pablo” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 charts.
The once Tidal-exclusive album sold 94,000 units with 70 percent of those coming from streaming, which is an estimated 99 million streams for the week ending April 7. “The Life of Pablo” is the first in Billboard history to sit atop the charts with most of its sales from streaming.
The Chicago rapper expressed gratitude on his Twitter page, thanking fans for their support.

West previously declared via Twitter that he wouldn’t stream his seventh album anywhere else but Tidal and it wouldn’t be available for purchase. However, on April 1, fans were in for a shock when the album appeared on all streaming services and was available for purchase on his website.
West also confirmed on Twitter that he is heading on tour. No other details have been revealed, except that he is working on designs.
I’m so happy that you guys like the music… I’m working on the tour designs now…
