The United States lost more than factories when it outsourced manufacturing. It lost the procurement infrastructure needed to source domestically at scale. Now, foreign investment commitments are arriving at a pace not seen in the previous four years. Is a significant investment actually coming to the United States, and will the manufacturing sector grow over the next few years?

In this episode, Alex Krutz, trade policy adviser and founder of Patriot Industrial Partners, joins us to examine what a genuine manufacturing revival actually requires beyond tariffs and executive orders. Krutz breaks down the landed cost miscalculation that made offshoring look cheaper than it was, and explains why volume is the real barrier to reentering industries such as shipbuilding.
