Trump Sets 5-Day Window for Iran Negotiations; ICE Deployed to 14 Airports to Support TSA

President Donald Trump orders the War Department to delay strikes on Iranian energy sites, citing “productive” talks with the regime. He says those talks will continue through the week.

ICE officers are now assisting Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents at several airports. White House border czar Tom Homan says the officers are there to help alleviate long waits at security checkpoints. TSA expects staffing shortages to get worse as the Department of Homeland Security shutdown is in its sixth week.

The president on Monday is signing new executive orders to make homeownership more affordable. And the U.S. trade representative recently announced measures to bring down the trade deficit.

Flights are running again at La-Guardia airport after the pilot and co-pilot of an Air Canada plane struck a Port Authority vehicle late last night. Two people died in the collision, 41 were injured, and 32 have been released. Joining to discuss the latest developments is Michael Letts, law enforcement expert and chief executive officer of InVest USA.
