There’s been a lot talk over the idea that there is an overabundance of people that has been putting a strain on the Earth’s resources. But according to Gale Pooley, co-author of “Superabundance,” knowledge, not atoms, is the true resource, as knowledge can transform scarcities into abundances through innovation.

We spoke to Pooley at FreedomFest 2026 in Las Vegas about the overpopulation myth.
